The first pitched battle of the adventure is a desperate fight to hold back a horde of darkspawn long enough to seal off the tunnels they are swarming from.
Expedition Table Scipting
I leveraged the War Table functionality from the main game to create a new Expedition Map, with a whole new set of Operations for the player to complete to unlock different areas of the Deep Roads. A list of Operations can be found here: https://dragonage.fandom.com/wiki/Expedition_table
As the player explores the Deep Roads they find opportunities for their supporters to construct bridges, clear blocked passages, and collect caches of dwarven artifacts.
Items and Crafting Schematics
The Descent introduced many new weapons, armors, and craftin schematics. I created and managed the data required, including stats, art asset hookup, and loot tables.
Gear Driven Doors
Ancient doors throughout the Deep Roads require gears that can be found in out of the way locations. I set up the scripting for the doors, and placed the gears, along with various other collectible items such as Dwarven Steins, treasure maps, and journal entries.
